Cooperation between our Club and Cedars Ski Academy is carried on with the biathlon coach and athlete Salim Lozom for the summer training programme.

On the Balkan Regional Biathlon Workshop, organized by the IBU, our coach Miroslav Segrt presented development model successfully applied to the Lebanese biathlon programme.

Beside National federations representatives, workshop was led by the representatives of the IBU: Ole Dahlin - IBU President, Max Cobb - IBU Secretary General, Dagmara Gerasimuk - IBU Director of development and other IBU staff.

Presentation and development model established in Lebanon by our coach were commended by the IBU representatives.

Our coach and international biathlon referee was the Competition director for the First ever Lebanese National Biathlon Championship held at Cedars Ski Resort on March 16th 2023. Event was organized by the Lebanese ski and biathlon federation and supported by the International biathlon union.

Cooperation between our Club and Cedars Ski Academy was established by our Miroslav Segrt presenting and coaching biathlon to the children and youth of the town of Bsharri (Lebanon) - a birthplace of famous Lebanese writer, poet and painter Khalil Gibran. This work was promoted by Lebanese ski and biathlon federation and supported by the International Biathlon Union.

October 29th 2022 | Zsombo (Hungary)

Our coaches and judges: Gabor Macanko, Miroslav Sefgrt and Djordje Janjic took Novi Sad's air-pistol shooters Katarina Galantic and Damjan Miladinovic to the gold medals at Szeged Grand Prix competition held on October 29th 2022 in the town of Zsombo - a suburb of Szeged.


October 8-9th 2022 | Skopje (North Macedonia)

Our coach Miroslav Segrt and competitor Marija Jovanovic were invited in International shooting tournament held in Skopje. They have competed in rifle and pistol events and achieve average results but improved cooperation between our club and North-Macedonian SK Strelec".

During September, some of our competitors and coaches try themselves out in traditional shooting events at Regional and national Championships in semi-auto and army rifle and achieved respectable results.


July 30-31st 2022 | Miskolc (Hungary)

Our competitors Marija Jovanovic, Ajredin Ajeti and Danijel Radvanji took part in ISSF Target sprint Grand Prix in Miskolc - Hungary. All three took final races spots, but were short of medals.


August 19-21st 2022 | Novi Sad (Serbia)

ISSF TARGET SPRINT GRAND PRIX NOVI SAD 2022

For the first time ISSF Target Sprint Grand Prix was held from 19th to 21st of August 2022 on the 50m shooting range located in Serbia, Novi Sad and was organized by Sports club »Biathlon« with support from other organizations.
Competition was held in following target sprint disciplines and categories and according to the ISSF Target sprint rules:

-Individual Mixed Team
-Men & Women (2001 and older)
-Junior Men & Junior Women (2002 and younger)

Running course was on uneven grass surface with several sharp turns, shooting on 10 falling metal targets with standard air rifles. Weather was rainy, windy and overcast.
Participants were the athletes from 6 nations (Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, North Macedonia and Serbia).
All the organizing and referee work were under sportmanship code and honour system with sport for all doctrine and according to the ISSF target sprint rules of 2022.

Our athlete Marija Jovanovic took 3rd place in Women's category at the International target sprint competition held in Budakeszi near Budapest, organized by Vasas sport club, while Danijel Radvanji took 5th place in Men's category.

Our athelte Marija Jovanovic took 3rd place in the Women's category on the International target sprint competition in Hodmezovasarhely near Szeged (Hungary) organized by "Cel-Tudat" sport club. In Men's category Danijel Radvanji took 4th place, Ajredin Ajeti 5th and Mateja Rackov 6th place.

On the 7th International Competition "Ištvan Poljanac" our club members had some nice results in target sprint:

October 2nd, 2021 | Novi Sad (Serbia)

Target Sprint Trophy of Novi Sad 2021 was organized at the Sports centre "Sajmište" both in individual and mixed team events in Men's and Women's category with competitors from Hungary and Serbia. Awards were presented to the winners by Milana Simić, the best target sprinter in Womens category on the official ISSF ranking who was also the best target sprint athlete in Serbia so far.

Target Sprint Trophy of Novi Sad 2020 was held on 10m range at Sports center "Sajmište". Running was done around football pitch and shooting was done inside. Due to measures implemented by the government for suppression and control of the pandemic, there were less competitors than usually.

July 13th 2019 | Suhl (Germany)

On the World tour target sprint held in Suhl 13-14th of July 2019 our delegation consisted of 5 girls: Milana Simic (SK Biathlon), Neda Obradovic (SK Red Star), Hristina Plavsic, Dragana and Katarina Vranesevic (all three SD Novi Sad 1790). All girls had good races in their groups and qualified for the finals. Except Milana Simic, this was a debut for others, but they proved that they are good enough to fight for medal. Besides 5 brave girls, there were three members of supporting staff: Dr Radovan Kalanj - team doctor, Stevan Djuric - assistant coach and Miroslav Segrt- Head Coach.

Our small delegation went on a first ever target sprint competition in a small town of Zsombo and made some memorable results:

Individual: Masters - Igor Markovic 2nd place, Men - Miroslav Segrt 3rd place, Women - Milana Simic1st place and Katarina Galantic 2nd place.

Mixed relay: Milana Simic and oliver Gaspar 1st place, Hristina Plavsic and Miroslav Segrt 4th place.

Besides our competitors, there were several more competitors from Serbia: Men - Danijel Radvanji (SK Vrbas) 1st place, Jovan Ristic (SD Novolin) 2nd place, Junior women - Hristina Plavsic 1st place, Katarina Vranesevic 2nd place and Dragana Vranesevic 3rd place.

Throughout the competition full medical assist was provided by Dr Radovan Kalanj.

On the 3rd Zugligeti Cup in target sprint, our team came home with
several medals. In women category, our team member Milana Simic
achieved best result (5:14) and won 1st place ahead of Neda Obradovic
from Red Star Belgrade (5:38). In youth women category there was
complete domination of our athletes: Dragana Vranesevic (5:35) won 1st
place ahead of her twin sister Katarina Vranesevic (5:47) who finished
in 2nd in front of Hristina Plavsic (5:56) - all from Novi Sad 1790. In
men category, Nikola Stevovic (5:09) from Cika Mata Kragujevac
finished in 4th despite injury. Our head coach Miroslav Segrt was
elected the best coach of the comeptition.

On 51st fair LORIST 2018, Sports club "Biathlon" together with Shooting federation of Novi Sad and Shooting club "Novi Sad 1790" held its presentation using Anschütz
Laser Power Biathlon training system. Our stand was one of the most visited having more than 1.000 people trying themselves in competitive shooting, biathlon and target sprint.


October 20th 2018 | Szeged (Hungary)

Our delegation took part on traditional shooting competition Szeged
Grand Prix 2018, which is held annually in the following air weapon
disciplines: air rifle, air pistol, 10 running target, crossbow 10m and
target sprint. Our air pistol shooters were: Biljana Markoš (KSS
Policajac), Teodora Simić (SK Crvena Zvezda), Aleksandra Ristović (SK
Zvezdara) and Marija Jovanović (ISD Strelac). Target sprint competitors
were: Milana Simić, Nataša Marković, Boris Samardžija (SK Biatlon),
Katarina and Dragana Vranešević (SD Novi Sad 1790), Neda Obradović and
Petar Podraščić (SK Crvena Zvezda), Danijel Radvanji (SK Vrbas) and
Ajredin Ajeti (KBS Borac). All athletes performed well and came home
with bunch of medals.

Our Club organized 4th international Target sprint
competition with athletes form Hungary. Guests of competition were
Andrea Arsović - world champion and record holder and her personal and
national rifle team coach Dragan Donević - who also presented medals to
the winners in junior category. Also, competition would be incomplete
without selfless help from our host Milica Dakić, photographer and
competitive shooter Đorđe Janjić, Physician Dr Radovan kalanj and
tireless volunteers from Red Cross of Novi Sad.

Our club members were part of a team that represented Serbia on Target
Sprint Walther Cup 2018. Beside Mima Simić and Katarina Đukić, there
were also Mario Domonji (Jedinstvo - Stara Pazova) and Neda Obradović
(Red Star - Belgrade). All athletes have set their personal bests while
Mima and Mario have set new National records in women, men and junior
men category respectively.

Our Club represented its work and results in hangar 3 of International Fair of Hunting, fishing, sport and tourism, that was held in Novi Sad and where general public was able to try and shoot some biathlon targets with system Anschütz Laser Power Biathlon.

22nd-26th June 2017 | Suhl, Germany

Member of our Club: Marija Jovanović (14th place), Milana Simić (10th place) and Stevan Đurić (19th place) represented Serbia on first ever ISSF Target Sprint World Championship. Beside our members, Mario Domonji (11th place) from SD Jedinstvo Stara Pazova also represented Serbia.

This was the first time for mixed relay competition where Milana Simić and Mario Domonji took 8th place and Marija Jovanović and Stevan Đurić took 12th place.

This was historical event and new national records were set.

We congratulate all the representatives of Serbia for their team spirit and effort.

For the first time our club organized Target sprint of Novi Sad, according to the ISSF rules. There were competitiors from Ledinci, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Subotica and Belgrade. Starting fee was donated to charity. Organization of this competition was helped by: Novi Sad sport and youth Authority, Biathlon union of Serbia, Sport for all Federation of Vojvodina, Novi Sad Red cross, SD "Novi Sad 1790", SD "Radivoj Cirpanov", Novi Sad Marathon, JKP Informatika, SZR "Electric MB", SZR "Bioland", Bakery "Anja" and AK "Vojvodina". Promoter of this competition was Aleksandra Ivosev, a former Olympic champion in small bore rifle 3x20 for women, from Atlanta 1996.

Thanks to the support of City of Novi Sad's sport authority and several generous donors we managed to purchase ten metal biathlon targets for air rifle and thus paved a way for developing biathlon in these areas.

Winter 2012 | Belgrade (Serbia)

Ski Federation of Serbia has made a decision to donate us seven old type small bore rifles for biathlon: four TOZ 17-01 and three VOSTOK BIATLON 6 rifles.
We hope that these rifles will contribute to future generations of Novi Sad's and Vojvodina's biathletes.

Thanks to the kind and generous support of City of Novi Sad's sport authority and Province of Vojvodina's Secretariat for sport together with other sponsors we managed to purchase some of essential equipment such as skis, poles and first of all roller-skis in order to spread grassroots level athletes and make this fine sport more popular in Novi Sad and Vojvodina.

As a proof of good and creative work in our Club, Television of Vojvodina made a TV report about cross country skiing, biathlon and our Club and City of Novi Sad.

Our biathletes represented Serbia on the Balkan Cup in Bulgaria. Igor took 8th and Branko took 4th place missing bronze by almost 10 and silver by almost 30 seceonds in 4km sprint race.
